Pure, bright yellow. One of the rarest colours a beachcomber can find, and this piece is a clear, vivid example of it.
Yellow sea glass is a genuine rarity — it accounts for less than 1% of all beach-found glass. But rarer still is yellow this bright and clear: not the warm honey of amber, not the muddied tone of old glass, but a clean, vivid yellow that holds its colour right through the frosting. Most yellow sea glass is traced to old medicine bottles, Victorian utility glassware, or signal lamp panels — glass that was never common to begin with, and that survives in the sea even less so.
This piece was hand-collected from the Solway Firth, the wild estuary that divides Cumbria from Dumfries and Galloway, where the tides run fierce and the tumbling is long. Set by hand into a polished recycled sterling silver bezel band, 1.2mm wide. One of a kind — once it’s gone, it’s gone.

We make every effort to accurately display our products, but colors and details may vary slightly due to screen settings and the natural characteristics of gemstones.
