Hello, I’m April, designer and maker behind Feather and Frost. Inspired by my deep love for all wildlife, especially the beautiful creatures of British woodlands, I create handcrafted pieces that celebrate nature’s quiet magic. Working from my Midlands studio, I use sustainable sterling silver to bring my designs to life. Each piece is thoughtfully crafted, from intricate pendants featuring foxes, bears, and woodland scenes to rings adorned with ethically sourced gemstones. My work is a tribute to the wild landscapes and the creatures that call them home. Sustainability is at the core of what I do. I believe in creating jewellery that is not only beautiful but also kind to the earth. Using ethical silver and timeless designs, I hope to offer you pieces that can be treasured for years to come. Feather and Frost is for those who feel connected to the natural world, who find peace in the rustling of leaves, the call of a bird, or the quiet strength of a forest. My jewellery is a reminder of the wildness we carry within us and the importance of protecting the world around us.
Mathilda
My name is Mathilda, and I am one of the designers at Feather and Frost. Ever since I was a child, I’ve been enchanted by the little details that tell quiet stories, vintage book illustrations, Victorian postcards and photographs, the textures of antique linens, and treasures gathered by the seaside. As a teenager, I even began my first business selling Victorian linens at antique fairs, guided by a love of history, beauty, and objects that feel timeless.
Those same inspirations still guide me today. I design some of our jewellery and also create the shipping boxes that hold each piece. The inside of every box contains a little work of art, made in small batches to give each parcel an individual touch, designed to bring a touch of whimsy and quiet happiness. I love to explore different media, acrylics, watercolours, collage, cyanotypes, finding new ways to make each piece and its packaging feel like a tiny treasure.
